Advanced Digital X-rays
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services in & Surrounding Areas, we are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool that we use to look inside the body in an entirely non-invasive way. X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs.
In other words, the use of radiology gives us a view of the internal organs in your pets’ body that we otherwise could not see. It is a valuable diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illness.
Dental Care
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services, we know that dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Prevention and maintenance are essential, as dental disease can lead to severe pain and other serious health issues.
Did you know that eighty percent of dogs and seventy percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue to date? Despite this fact, many pet owners are not aware of the importance of dental care to their pet’s health. Dr. Meneo and staff make dental education a priority and will gladly discuss how you can prevent dental disease or improve your pet’s dental hygiene.
Our mobile unit is fully equipped with dental radiology that allows us to find focal areas of disease or trauma. With our dental system, we are able to provide dental cleanings and extractions as safely and efficiently as possible

Hospice and Euthanasia
The path to knowing when the time for euthanasia is right can be confusing, difficult and draining. The decision is extremely personal, and we hope to provide you with all that we can to suit your needs, and the needs of your pet. Having been through this personally, Dr. Meneo is extremely passionate about ensuring that you find comfort in your decision, and making the process as effortless and tranquil as possible. We are overwhelmingly pleased to be able to provide this service in the comfort of your pet’s home.

In-House Laboratory
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services we have the ability to perform a wide array of laboratory tests including, but not limited to:
- Stat (in-house):
- Bloodwork (CBC, Chemistry, Heartworm/Lyme/E.canis/Anaplasma snap, etc)
- Urine analysis
- Microscopy (Cytology, Fecal Analysis, etc.)
- Dermatophyte testing
- Outside laboratory capabilities that include all types of testing through IDEXX Laboratories
Our laboratory services allow us to capture information immediately in order to diagnose and/or rule out particular conditions. This is especially important for our sick patients.
Dr. Meneo encourages his clients to consider laboratory screening at certain lifestages to unlock any hidden illnesses. If your pet’s bloodwork is normal, (which we always hope for) you will have peace of mind knowing your pet is healthy and that we have baseline on record for future reference! Spay and Neuter
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services, we believe that spaying and neutering are a vital step to ensuring your pet’s health. Spaying and neutering helps to reduce the homeless pet population, can add years to your pet’s life, can curb bad behavior if done at a proper age, and can significantly reduce long-term medical costs.

Surgery
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services, we have a full, sterile surgical suite that allows us to perform a number of general surgical procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, mass removals, laceration repair, abdominal surgery, hernia repair, cherry eye repair and ear hematoma repair. Our surgical suite is separated from the general work area of the truck so that we can maintain a pristine surgical environment.
Post-operative patient care is also very important to us. Aside from applying the one-on-one care we believe is necessary for an optimal recovery, our clinic has unique patient warming equipment and holding kennels that allow your pet the safest and most comfortable recovery as possible.
Vaccinations
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services, we believe that vaccinating against disease is a vital standard of care for your pet.
We will do our very best to communicate the unique risks of your particular region. We are happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your pet with vaccinations as well as provide you with recommended guidelines to ensure your pet remains fully protected.

Parasite Prevention
The idea of your pet being infested with parasites is a disturbing one, we know. However, parasitic infection is a real possibility and can have serious (and sometimes fatal) consequences for both you and your pet if not properly treated or prevented.
At Pittsburgh Mobile Veterinary Services, we believe strongly in the prevention of parasites. We would be happy to discuss the risk of infection based upon age, region and other factors specific to your pet.
